What is Facial Toner? And...Why?
According to Google, facial toner cleanses the skin and helps to reduce pore size. According to me, it's a lifeline. Much like coffee or phoning a friend.
Here's the quick n' dirty on facial toner - something I knew little about other than I think it's magic:
What does it do?
It is meant to get your skin back to its natural acidic state aka restore your pH balance. It makes your skin nice and ready for moisturizer.
When do you use it?
After washing your face. I use mine once a day after my shower. Follow up your toner with moisturizer. I'm into Cetaphil right now.
How do you use it?
You can apply toner with your fingers or with a cotton pad. My leftover makeup is removed when I use toner, so I prefer the cotton pad method. If you have oily skin, it's also recommended to use the pad to apply.
For me - toner has taken away my acne. It gives me a clean slate to put my moisturizer on every night. Plus, mine smells really nice. From my research (the computer and coffee combo for an hour), it seems like toner does something different for every skin type. You magic, girl. You magic.
