- You're Going to Portland, Now What? -

I'm not one to use the word 'chill,' but I can't accurately describe Portland, OR in any other way. Cars going out of their way to let pedestrians cross, good food with no wait, and a permanent autumn feeling in the air. Sounds good, right?

To Eat.jpg

I was pleasantly surprised by restaurants in Portland. From breakfast biscuits to pizza to ice cream - I was shocked.

Favorite pizza: Sizzle Pie.

Being the sugar bear I am, I had the peanutbutter vegan cheesecake. And the pizza too, don't get it twisted.

Favorite dinner spot: The Matador.

I wasn't actively seeking out Mexican food, but the gorgeous decor and endless supply of gorgeous tortilla chips (can you call food gorgeous? too weird?). I ate so much I had to Uber home.

Favorite ice cream: Ruby Jewel.

Ice cream any time of day is definitely my thing. I recommend the hot fudge sundae with peanutbutter ice cream (sensing a theme with my desserts?). Add a cookie for good measure.

Favorite view: Portland City Grill.

Atop a gorgeous pink building - automatically count me in - is a rooftop bar with the best view of the city.

To Do.jpg

I didn't have a ton of time to explore, but I couldn't skip the largest bookstore in America, a traditional Japanese Garden, and some Pacific Northwest views. I would love to come back and travel to a few of Oregon's wonders - sign me up for a little more nature. Does anyone have Portland recs? xx
