When I told people I was doing my own makeup on my wedding day, their reaction was complete shock. One of my top priorities for the big day - not including the food - was the bridal makeup. I needed long-lasting, timeless, striking makeup. No excuses. After much trial and error here were my top 3 makeup products to use day of:

L'Oreal Infallible Foundation. I have been on the most aggressive hunt for a longwear foundation. I have been back and forth about this L'Oreal formula for months. I read up on reviews, asked any and all makeup gurus that I trusted, and scoured makeup aisles. After my maid of honor also gave this a few successful tries, I pulled the trigger. I locked this in as my wedding day foundation.

Kylie LipkitHate all you want, but Kylie Cosmetics has me hooked. If you haven't guessed, staying power is top priority for me. Although the matte lipstick is a little drying, the pigmented color stays on basically all day. I especially love the shade selection. I needed a little Vaseline to combat dryness.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush. The pinky color was just so beautiful and fresh to me. It goes on pigmented and stays on.

I've got to know, what would you/have you done as your wedding day makeup? Would you dare to do your own makeup? xx

P.S.: I cannot waaaaaaait to share the rest of the wedding photos with you!
