Ask anyone who knows me relatively well and they'll be sure to tell you that working out is my sanity. My absolute favorite de-stressing technique is swimming. Branching out of my comfort zone is something I try to do often, so I found myself trying an actual kickboxing class.
What I like - the cardio! Cardio is fun for me and keeps me engaged during the workout. I love how I can tone my arms without the boredom of lifting weights.
What I don't like - it's tough to get the lingo down with enough time to actually participate. I also am very much not used to wearing gloves while I workout. I kind of feel like a teddy bear with them on ;) After three classes, I really began to catch on. It's expensive though - yikes.
All in all, I like it! I've been trying to gain some arm strength for a while now and this seems like a fun way for me to get started. I had trouble lifting my arm to apply mascara today, so something is working. How about you? Are you into kickboxing? xx
