- Travel Update: Downtown Seattle -
Oh, downtown Seattle. I would be lying if I said we had fallen in love. I would be lying even more if I said that I enjoyed your food or the people I encountered, but you were an experience to say the least. Let's get to it (part one of my trip right here)!
A stay at the Grand Hyatt Seattle is an absolute dream. Everything about the hotel room is everything I want in an apartment. The gym was spectacular and the cookies from the deli in the lobby spoke to my soul. Oh yeah, and the view from my room was pretty sweet too - even pre-6 am. PS: I spent 80% of my time in the hotel room in the amazing bathtub eating dessert. Excuse all of the bathroom mirror selfies - or don't.
The waterfront is both a tourist trap and a great way to find out about the city. The boat tour was actually a lot of fun. I would highly recommend. If you're into seafood I hear clam chowder right on the water is the bee's knees.
I just had to stop by Pike's Place Market. Only spending a teeny bit of time there to grab some photos, then off to dinner at BRGR Bar. The waitstaff is so amazing and the food was much better than any I had downtown. It's worth the uber ride.
The gum wall both looked and smelled just as gross as you might think ;) It was definitely one of the most unique attractions I've ever been to. What was equally as exciting for me was Quinn's Pub for obvious reasons.
If you're an east coaster like myself and take your bread/pizza/pasta in general very seriously, be prepared for an incredibly different take on carbs out west ;) Needless to say, I was so happy to get home and have a bagel. With a side of oatmeal. And then pizza for dinner.
A post on my business looks that I wore during my stay coming soon. All of which fit in a carry-on! Stay tuned, lovelies xx
