- Travel Update: Boston -

Our trip to Boston was by far the coldest adventure I have had yet. Negative temperatures (literally) aside, Chris and I still managed to have an awesome time in beautiful (frozen) Boston. When we travel together, we don't do too much online research beforehand. Instead, we ask for recommendations along the way. A huge thank you to everyone who reached out with their lists! We were only there for 3 days, so we didn't get to do as much as we would have liked. But, this just means a trip back! Preferably in the summer...

We arrived late Friday afternoon just in time for a leisurely dinner. We ate at an interesting little dive bar, Deluxe. The food was amazing and we would definitely go back! In fact, we tried, but they were closed on New Years Eve. Afterwards, we went to the Cheers bar for drinks and a photo op of course. Chris' favorite pizza of the weekend was Upper Crust - because what trip isn't complete without late night pizza?

Rolled up to the Cheers bar accidentallylooking like Ted Danson...

Saturday began with a trip to South Street Diner for breakfast. I got the Boston cream pancakes because - Boston. We liked it so much we spent Monday morning there as well. We explored the New England Aquarium, then stumbled in and around Faneuil Hall, and took a tour at Harpoon Brewery. Top of the Hub for dinner and drinks was the highlight. A great recommendation from one of my best friends. The view of Boston is incredible.

We hit up a crowded Charlie's Sandwich Shop on Sunday morning for breakfast. The food was decent and super close to our Airbnb. My favorite part of Boston had to be the Museum of Fine Arts, where we spent most of our day. From there we took a pizza and cannoli tour in North End, Boston. Ernesto's Pizza was my favorite. For the biggest (and best) cannolis, Mike's Pastry had it all. We had spontaneously planned on going to a jazz lounge for NYE, but when we arrived they had mysteriously closed. So, Darryl's Corner Bar and Kitchen it was for some Bayou cuisine. We quietly rang in the new year back at our room, watching some TV. My favorite way to start any year.

Is Boston anyone's city? What should we see the next time we go back? xx
