- Our Wedding, Part Two -
Are you tired of looking at Chris and me yet? We'd better hope not because here's Part Two of our wedding! Take your first look at Part One or just simply peruse it one more time - it's encouraged ;)
Our venue was Cairnwood Estate, a historic French chateau. We referred to our wedding as a really classy, intimate house party. I wanted guests to be able to wander in and out of the different rooms dancing, drinking, and eating.
Both my girls and I did our own makeup. Details on my look here.
My girls' gloves were hand-dyed to match their dresses by the talented Bianca of Shop Toile in Philadelphia. For custom needs, she is your girl!
My mom made my girls' flowers. How cute is this one giant blossom?!
If you can't tell, Chris is a pretty big wrestling fan...
I ditched my florist and had my mom decorate. She handpicked all of the mismatched, unique centerpieces. She kept the candles low to the table, so guests could easily see and talk to each other. Nothing is worse than yelling over a giant vase to the person next to you.
I decided on two long tables for a dramatic Beauty and the Beast-esque meal. Several people tried to talk me out of the idea. But, I went ahead anyway because I find round tables weird and heinous. Follow your heart, ladies.
I. love. cake. Chris designed our cake - vanilla and chocolate covered in jimmies. Simple and insanely insanely delicious.
The first pair of shoes I ever hand-drew were for Chris' birthday when we had first started dating. He told me that when I gave him those shoes back in 2014 he knew he would wear them on our wedding day.
Thank you, thank you, thank you if you made it to the end of this post. This day was so special to my husband and me, But, don't get it twisted. Every day afterwards has been even better. All you brides to be out there, it gets easier!
