Skin care had always been a constant battle of trial and error for me. Suffering from acne that ranged from minimal to severe to manageable to just plain annoying, I was always in search of a better product. After years of bouncing between antibiotics, topical creams, and medicated washes, I came to believe that my skin was doomed - and that I should just deal with it. Thankfully, over the summer my mom came across a big old tub of coconut oil in her quest for clear skin. I was hesitant to try yet another product. However, I was incredibly surprised when this oil not only made my skin clearer, but it made my skin feel good. I hadn't realized that I was drying out my skin and that moisture was what it desperately needed.
My skin care routine for the past six months:
Morning and Night
1. Wash my face with Yes to Cucumbers Gentle Milk Cleanser. Once I cut out the harsh, "acne-fighting" washes, my skin actually began to clear. It's soft and smooth - something I thought I would never be able to say.
2. Apply coconut oil to my face and neck. Don't forget to moisturize your neck and chest - it's anti-aging!
