I don't know about everyone else, but my summer hair/beauty/life routine is incredibly different compared to the rest of the year. For those of you following along for a bit, you know that I'm not crazy about applying heat to my hair. My curls are naturally very fine and don't always agree with styling tools. I love air drying my hair and you can too! Stop sighing, it's true - just follow along to air dry your hair overnight:

For waves -

  • Shampoo and condition your hair as normal. Fully rinse out your conditioner.
  • Let your hair run under very cold water for 20-30 seconds. This will help with shine.
  • Gently towel dry and brush your locks.
  • Collect your hair into a tight, low ponytail at the nape of your neck. Braiding the pony is optional depending on your hair consistency.
  • Blot any excess water with a towel.
  • Go to sleep!
  • The next morning, gingerly comb through your hair after removing the elastic hairband.
  • Toussle with your fingers and, voila! Beach waves.

For wavy/curly hair -

  • Shampoo and condition your hair as normal. Leave conditioner on your ends.
  • Let your hair run under very cold water for 10 seconds. This will help with shine.
  • Gently towel dry and put in a turbie twist.
  • Go to sleep!
  • The next morning, remove the turbie twist and allow your hair to finish drying while you complete your routine.
  • Toussle with your fingers and, voila! Curls galore.

There you have it - my tips for easy, overnightno heat beach waves and curls! Some helpful products below. Does anyone else love air drying? xx
