- 4 Skincare Tips -
If you're a longtime follower, you know all about my skin ups and downs, favorite products, least favorite products, and even caught me whining over adult acne and scarring. Just when I feel like I've tried it all, a new adjustment or two to my routine has me feeling lightyears better. Here are 4 tips I swear by:
- Drink Water. All of the time. I have a whole post I want to do showing you the results of what water can do. Recently, I wasn't drinking enough and I hadn't even realized it. But I did notice my skin looked rank. Fill up, ladies. Avoid rank skin.
- Exfoliate. I used to be against exfoliating - I thought it was rocking the boat. As a lady who wears makeup 4-7 days a week, sweats at the gym, lives in a major city, and applies a healthy amount of moisturizer daily, it is necessarily to occasionally exfoliate (I do once a week). My skin looks kind of wonk immediately afterwards, but by the next morning it's brighter and more receptive to my moisturizer.
- Sleep. I know there's a difference between tired Quinn and socially-acceptable Quinn. Believe it or not, it comes down to my skin. Mornings when I rely on coffee and makeup, my skin pays for it. It's dull and gets angry with me and then I have breakouts. Bottom line, just go to sleep.
- Coconut Oil. I'm a broken record with this one. After washing your face at night, slather on a healthy amount of straight up coconut oil and go to bed. Yes, this works even if you have acne. I promise you will look fabulous(er) the next morning.
