Not everyone enjoys working out. I get it. I'm not a huge fan of the gym - or of being told what to do. So, what are my tips for staying in shape?

Walk. I cannot stress to you enough that getting outside is so important. It's great for your mental health and it always helps me sleep better. Even a fifteen minute stroll after dinner can do wonders. Bringing your dog along is optional ;)

Consistency is key. I am a proponent of routines. Implement your workout into your schedule and make it a nonnegotiable. Even if it's just making sure you do a two minute plank Monday through Friday before your shower, trust that it will make a difference.

Know when to rest. This is one tip that I struggle with. If you're exhausted, your body is telling you something. Occasionally, you may need sleep more than you need that hour-long run. It is healthy to take breaks.

I am always looking for fitness advice - how do you stay in shape, lovelies? xx

- 3 Summertime Hats -

I'm guilty of forgetting to add accessories. It's not that I don't like them - I'm just always in a hurry and forget to grab a cute necklace or a pretty scarf. I'm trying to be more conscious of my accessory choices these days and hats are first on my list! What types of hats does one wear in the summer? After raiding my own closet I found the following:

SunhatIt's big. It's bold. It is also preventing your face from burning. I love my large and in charge beachy straw hat. It makes me feel a little glam while I'm sweating by the pool.

Woven FedoraI am not a huge fan of fedoras, but something about a straw fedora interests me. It's not as extravagant as my sunhat, which makes it super easy to pair with simple dresses.

Trucker HatThe edgiest of hats on my list. Perfect for the beach, a barbecue, or anytime really. If I'm feeling wild I'll wear it backwards. Definitely more fun that way.

What's your go-to summer accessory?

- Try it Tuesday: $1 Highlighter -

I am more than a little late to the highlighter game, but better late than never is what I'm telling myself. Much like bronzer, I found highlighter to be intimidating and even a little unnecessary. After stumbling across this $1 e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip, I took that back. $1, ladies. I had virtually nothing to lose.

What I like - easy application, sweet rosy color, and that price ;)

What I don't like - the sheen definitely fades throughout the day - but, $1.

So, let's hear it. Who's on into highlighter - and what kinds?! xx

- Trend: Choker Necklace -

I'm a necklace gal through and through. Although the thought of chokers originally took me back to the early 00's, I have given into the trend. They're super affordable and an easy way to make your look just a little bolder.

Here are a few I've purchased or just love:

1, 2, 3.

Has anyone else jumped on the chocker necklace bandwagon? xx
